From left: FSJACL’s Amber Vieweg, Manager of Finance, and Joe Lang, Executive Director, accepted a donation from the local Surepoint Group employees Wade Banks, Operations Manager, and Kevin Shillito, VP of Operations, towards the end of January. The $2000 donation will go towards developing the Association’s budding Art Program.

The Program, at the moment still in its initial stages, currently circulates boxes with art projects to individuals in the FSJACL’s service. The boxes have been a welcome activity for people, especially since so many activities have been restricted due to the global pandemic.

Future plans for the program include an Association art studio for those in service, as well as a number of art shows in the community promoting work made by individuals living with developmental disabilities. Surepoint’s donation will go a long way towards developing this program.

Surepoint has been in Fort St. John since 2010 supporting the energy industry in the areas of electrical/instrumentation, mechanical/commissioning, and telecommunications. But most importantly, Surepoint prides themselves on being a value-based company that gives back to their community, and their donation this month gives back indeed.
