FSJACL Looking for Youth with Disabilities for A Self-Esteem Group

The Fort St. John Association for Community Living is looking for youth with a disability who may be interested in participating in a Self-Esteem group. The group, which will be run in partnership between trained FSJACL staff and local youth Clinical Counsellors Laura Honey and Julia Hintermeiser, aims to help participants build their self-esteem and address mental health concerns.
The group is open to youth ages 16-24, living in the Fort St. John area. Youth must self-identify as having some form of disability, which may include:
- A physical disability.
- A developmental disability.
- A learning disability.
- ADD/ADHD or ASD.
- A mental health disability.
The group will launch in April 2022. Sessions will be two hours, once a week, for twelve weeks. A second group will run later in the year.

Final participants will be based on the results of the applications.
